Get up to $840 back on an energy-efficient stove

Efficient energy starts in your kitchen

A Stanford University study recently found that gas stoves leak methane, a potent greenhouse gas, even when they aren’t being used. The researchers estimated that stoves across the U.S. emit as much climate pollution as about 500,000 gas-powered cars!

Electric stoves, including induction ranges, provide better energy efficiency and indoor air quality than gas stoves, helping you save money and keep unhealthy pollution out of your home.

What’s the gist?

  • How to save - The IRA provides a rebate of up to $840 for an electric stove, cooktop, range or oven.

  • Who qualifies? - Everyone, but your savings will also depend on details like income, location, and whether you own you home.

  • When is it available? - Not quite yet. Our best guess is that rebates will start to become available by the end of 2023.
